Terms of Service
Last updated: July 13, 2026
This document describes how Screenshot Maker currently operates. It is not legal advice.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Brooks Marquez ("Screenshot Maker", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Screenshot Makerwebsite and services (the "Service") at https://screenshotmaker.app.
By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
The Service is not available where prohibited by law. You are responsible for compliance with local laws.
3. The Service
Screenshot Maker provides browser-based templates that users can customize and export as image files (primarily PNG) for marketing, presentations, and similar lawful purposes.
3.1 What we provide
- Access to a library of editable templates;
- In-browser editing and export tools;
- Free and paid subscription tiers with different template access;
- Account management and billing through Stripe.
3.2 What we do not provide
- We do not guarantee that exports will be accepted by any third-party platform, app store, or financial institution.
- We do not provide legal, financial, or compliance advice about how you use exported images.
- We do not store your exported files on our servers; exports are generated locally in your browser.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. We are not liable for modifications that do not materially reduce paid features you have already purchased for the current billing period.
4. Accounts and authentication
4.1 Sign-in
You sign in using Google OAuth. We do not store passwords. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity under your Screenshot Maker account.
4.2 Accurate information
You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account details current.
4.3 Account security
Notify us promptly through the contact form if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
5.1 Plans and pricing
Current plans (subject to change with notice):
| Plan | Price | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | No payment required |
| Pro Monthly | $7.00 USD / month | Recurring monthly |
| Pro Annually | $59.00 USD / year | Recurring yearly |
Prices are shown before checkout. Taxes may apply where required by law.
5.2 Payment processing
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
5.3 Automatic renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. You authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
5.4 Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard (Stripe Customer Portal). Cancellation stops future charges. You retain access to Pro features until the end of the current paid billing period. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the unused portion of a billing period, except as stated in Section 5.5.
5.5 Refund policy
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first Pro subscription purchase (monthly or annual). To request a refund, contact us through the contact form within 7 days of the initial charge, including the email address on your account.
Refunds outside this window are granted at our sole discretion, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
5.6 Price changes
We may change subscription prices. For existing subscribers, we will provide reasonable advance notice before a price change takes effect on renewal. If you do not agree, cancel before the next billing date.
5.7 Failed payments
If a payment fails, we may suspend Pro access until payment is resolved. Stripe may retry charges according to its policies.
6. Free tier and Pro features
- Free accounts may access and export designated free templates without a subscription.
- Pro accounts may access all templates and Pro export features while the subscription is active.
- We may change which templates are free or paid with reasonable notice.
- Free accounts do not require a credit card.
Usage limits, if any, are described on the website or in-product at the time of use.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any law or regulation, including fraud, money laundering, securities manipulation, or deceptive trade practices;
- Create misleading or fraudulent content, including but not limited to:
- fabricating financial statements, trading records, or account balances intended to deceive;
- impersonating a real person, business, brand, or platform in a way that is likely to mislead viewers;
- creating false evidence, fake receipts, or forged official documents;
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others;
- Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse any person or group;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems, or circumvent access controls or rate limits;
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest the Service or its data except through documented APIs we expressly permit;
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service or template library without our written permission;
- Upload malware or interfere with the operation of the Service.
We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate accounts, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached. We may report unlawful activity to authorities.
You are solely responsible for how you use exported images and for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and third-party terms (including platform rules for app stores, social networks, and financial services).
8. Intellectual property
8.1 Our property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, template layouts, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service or our intellectual property.
8.2 License to you
Subject to these Terms and your plan:
- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal purposes.
- For templates you are entitled to export, we grant you a license to use the exported image files you create for lawful purposes, including commercial marketing, subject to Section 7.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service or template source materials except as expressly permitted through the Service's export functionality.
8.3 Feedback
If you submit ideas or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it without obligation to you.
8.4 Trademarks
Third-party names, logos, and brands shown in templates are the property of their respective owners. Screenshot Maker is not affiliated with or endorsed by those third parties unless explicitly stated.
9. User content and exports
Text, numbers, and images you enter into the editor ("User Content") remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process User Content only as needed to provide the Service (e.g., rendering in your browser). We do not claim ownership of your exports.
You represent that you have all rights necessary for your User Content and that your use of exports does not violate these Terms or applicable law.
10. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties including Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and data), and Resend (email). Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that exports will meet your requirements or the requirements of any third party.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those jurisdictions, disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Brooks Marquez from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- your use of the Service or exported content;
- your violation of these Terms; or
- your violation of any law or third-party rights.
14. Termination
14.1 By you
You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us through the contact form. Cancel any active subscription first to avoid future charges.
14.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice.
14.3 Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 7–13, 15, and 16) will survive.
15. Disputes
Before raising a formal dispute, you agree to contact us through the contact form and allow 30 days to resolve the issue informally.
If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, you may have additional rights under those laws, including the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence where those laws allow.
16. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page, update the "Last updated" date, and, where required, notify you by email or in-app notice before changes take effect.
Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where your consent is required by law.
18. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through our contact form.
